Where to Buy Meta AI Glasses in 2026: Amazon, Stores & Meta

Updated:

| #MetaAffiliate #commissioneligible

Meta AI glasses are available from several places, including major electronics retailers, Ray-Ban and Oakley stores, Amazon, and Meta’s official website. But each retailer offers different models, frame styles, lens options, and prescription services. So where should you buy your glasses?

This guide compares the main buying options in the US, UK, Australia, and Singapore, including Best Buy, Currys, Harvey Norman, and optical retailers. I’ll also walk you through the Meta Store’s buying process, from using virtual try-on and choosing the right frame size to customizing frames and lenses, placing an order, and checking out.

If you need prescription glasses, I’ll explain how to order them through the US Meta Store, including single-vision and progressive lenses, prescription details, lens materials, coatings, and upgrade costs. You’ll also learn about Meta’s return policy, extended warranty options, and delivery times.

Where Can You Buy Meta AI Glasses?

Meta AI glasses are available in many countries, including the US, UK, Australia, and Singapore. There are four main places to buy them:

  1. Major Retailers and Electronics Stores (Best Buy in the US, Currys in the UK, and Harvey Norman in Australia and Singapore)
  2. Eyewear Stores and Optical Retailers (LensCrafters, Ray-Ban, Oakley stores, and more)
  3. Amazon
  4. Meta Official Store

If you just want to get your glasses as quickly as possible, visiting a major retailer, electronics store, or eyewear store is usually the easiest option. But if you want more choices in models, colors, and sizes, Meta’s official website offers a much wider selection.

If you’re still not sure which Meta AI glasses are right for you, check out these two guides first:

Here’s a quick look at the most common places to buy Meta AI glasses:

Major Retailers and Electronics Stores

Major retail chains like Best Buy in the US, Currys in the UK, and Harvey Norman in Australia and Singapore all sell Meta AI glasses.

The biggest advantage of these stores is that you can shop in person, and some locations even let you try on the glasses before buying. You can check how they look, whether the size fits, and how comfortable they feel instead of relying on photos online. If the model you want is in stock, you can take it home the same day. You might also find store promotions or member discounts.

The downside is that major retailers usually carry only the more popular models, so the selection of frames, colors, sizes, and lenses may be limited. They may not offer custom prescription lenses either. Stock also varies by location, so if you’re looking for a less common style, you might need to check a few stores or order directly from Meta’s website.

Eyewear Stores and Optical Retailers

Ray-Ban and Oakley stores both sell Meta AI glasses. You can try them on, check the fit and comfort, and ask about prescription lens options. However, Ray-Ban stores mainly carry Ray-Ban Meta glasses, while Oakley stores focus on Oakley Meta. So if you want to compare different brands, don’t expect Ray-Ban and Oakley stores to carry the same models.

Besides brand stores, many major eyewear chains also sell Meta AI glasses, including LensCrafters in the US, Sunglass Hut in the UK and Australia, and Spectacle Hut in Singapore. Some of these retailers carry both Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta, and some also offer eye exams and prescription lens services. However, the selection of frames, colors, sizes, and lenses can vary by location. If you’re looking for a specific model, it’s best to check availability before heading out.

Other well-known eyewear chains, such as Warby Parker, Specsavers, and OWNDAYS, aren’t common places to buy Meta AI glasses. Just because a store is a major eyewear retailer doesn’t mean it carries them, so it’s worth checking before making the trip.

If you want to compare different brands in one place, I’d start with a major electronics retailer that carries multiple brands, or an eyewear chain like LensCrafters or Sunglass Hut. If you’ve already decided on Ray-Ban Meta or Oakley Meta, going directly to that brand’s store is usually more convenient.

Amazon

If you don’t want to spend time checking physical stores, Amazon is another convenient option. Just search for Meta AI Glasses, Ray-Ban Meta, or Oakley Meta, and you’ll find plenty of listings. Amazon also runs sales from time to time, so you might even find a better price than at other retailers.

Amazon US search results for Meta AI glasses, showing Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 Wayfarer smart glasses with different frame sizes, prices, customer ratings, and delivery options.

However, most Meta AI glasses on Amazon come in preset combinations, such as brown Oakley frames with polarized lenses in the Standard size. Many listings look almost identical, but the actual differences may be in the lenses, size, or generation, so make sure you check the details before buying.

If this is your first pair of Meta AI glasses and you’re not sure which size or lenses to choose, I’d recommend figuring out the exact model and configuration you want on Meta’s website first, then searching for it on Amazon. That way, you’re less likely to order the wrong pair. Amazon does offer returns, but returning the glasses and placing another order can easily add several days to the process.

Also, Meta Ray-Ban Display has officially launched in the US and UK, but it’s not yet available in Australia or Singapore. If you try to buy this model on Amazon, you may find it out of stock or listed by third-party sellers. If you’re looking for Meta Ray-Ban Display, I’d recommend checking Meta’s official website in the US or UK for purchase options. For other Meta AI glasses, the Meta Store offers a wider selection of frames, colors, sizes, and lenses, along with a more convenient return process.

Meta Official Store

Whether you end up buying from Major Retailers, Eyewear Stores, or Amazon, I’d recommend checking Meta’s official website first.

Meta AI glasses product menu on the US Meta website

Meta’s official website has the widest selection of styles and models. You can even try on the glasses virtually to see how they look on your face. Since many other retailers sell only preset combinations, checking the exact model, size, and lenses on Meta’s website before shopping elsewhere can help you avoid buying the wrong pair.

The return policy is another big advantage. You can return your glasses within 30 days after your order ships, even if you’ve ordered custom prescription lenses. That’s a huge plus when buying eyewear. If the size doesn’t fit or you don’t like the color, you can return them without much hassle.

Warranty support is pretty solid, too. If your glasses break down, you can often get a refurbished replacement. There’s also an option to purchase an extended warranty when buying directly from Meta’s official website. I think the coverage is pretty extensive, and having that extra protection makes it easier to use your glasses without worrying too much about damage.

For example, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer costs $449. Add a two-year extended warranty for $64.99, and you’ll get up to three years of coverage in total. Even accidental damage and cosmetic damage are covered.

How to Choose Your Glasses on Meta’s Website

AI glasses are a little different from regular tech products. Features matter, but how the glasses look and feel on your face matters just as much. Meta’s website lets you try on glasses virtually and choose your frame size, color, and lenses. The US Meta Store also lets you order glasses with prescription lenses.

With so many options, you’ll also come across some eyewear terms you might not be familiar with, which can make the process seem complicated at first. I’ll walk through each option so you can find the right pair on Meta’s website.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • Virtual try-on
  • Choosing your frame size
  • Choosing your frames and lenses
  • Placing your order

Virtual Try-On

I’ll use the US Meta website for this walkthrough, but the process is the same on the UK, Australian, and Singapore versions. Most Meta AI glasses product pages have a Try on virtually option, which lets you try on the glasses online.

Click it and allow your browser to access your camera. The website will then show the glasses on your face so you can see how they’d look on you.

Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 3 product page on the Meta US website, highlighting the Try on virtually button to preview how the AI glasses look on your face.

This is a handy way to see whether the glasses look good on you. You can compare different frames and see how they look with different lens colors. For example, the same Wayfarer frame can look completely different with dark lenses versus clear lenses.

Here are the available options:

  • Standard size / Large size: Switch between frame sizes.
  • Take photo: Take a photo.
  • Refit: Rescan your face to adjust the virtual fit.
  • ◑: Switch between tinted and clear lens previews.
  • Share: Share with friends.
  • Frame color: Choose your frame color.
  • Lens Color: Choose your lens type and color.

Meta’s virtual try-on is actually pretty accurate. The glasses look very close to how they would in real life. If you’re still unsure about the fit, you can also check the frame measurements to make sure you’re choosing the right size.

Choosing Your Frame Size

One of the trickiest parts of buying glasses online is figuring out whether they’ll fit. Ordering the wrong size can be a hassle. When shopping for glasses on Meta’s website, you’ll often see size options like Standard and Large.

Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 3 frame size selection on the Meta website, showing Standard and Large options with the Size guide for checking glasses measurements.

In the Frame size & fit section, click Size guide on the right to check the frame measurements.

For example, here are the measurements for the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer:

Meta official size guide comparing Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 3 Standard and Large frames, including hinge-to-hinge width, lens dimensions, bridge width, and temple length in millimeters.

This diagram makes it easier to understand what each measurement means:

  • Hinge to hinge: The horizontal distance between the hinges on each side of the frame. This helps you determine the overall frame width. Large is 6 mm wider than Standard.
  • Lens height: The height of each lens from top to bottom. Large is 3 mm taller.
  • Lens width: The width of each individual lens from side to side. Large is 3 mm wider.
  • Bridge width: The distance between the two lenses, measured across the bridge of the nose. Both sizes have a 22 mm bridge width.
  • Temple length: The length of the arms, measured from the hinge to the tip. Large has temples that are 5 mm longer.
Eyeglasses frame measurement diagram showing five dimensions: hinge-to-hinge width, lens height, lens width, bridge width, and temple length to help choose the correct Meta AI glasses size.

Even after looking at all these numbers, you probably still have no idea which size to choose. So here’s an easier way: grab the pair of glasses you already own that fits you best and use it for comparison.

On the inside of the temple arms, you’ll usually find a set of numbers like 52□19-145. These are the frame measurements in millimeters (mm). In this example, the lens width is 52 mm, the bridge width is 19 mm, and the temple length is 145 mm.

Now let’s compare those measurements with the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer. The Standard size has a lens width of 50 mm, while the Large is 53 mm. My current glasses fall right between the two, so either size should work, and the fit probably wouldn’t feel too different from what I’m used to. But when I tried them on virtually, I preferred how the Standard size looked on my face, so that’s the one I’d choose.

If you’ve been wearing the same glasses for years, the numbers on the temple arms might have worn off. In that case, you can grab a ruler and measure your glasses yourself using the diagram above to figure out their dimensions.

Besides frame size, glasses also have different bridge fits, such as High Bridge Fit and Low Bridge Fit. However, most Meta AI glasses come with a fixed bridge fit, so you usually don’t need to choose this separately.

Choosing Your Frames and Lenses

The Meta Store usually offers several frame and lens combinations put together by designers. For example, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer comes in eight different combinations to choose from.

Once you select a style you like, you’ll see the details of that combination below:

Frame color: The color of the frame, such as Shiny Black, Matte Black, or Havana (a brown tortoiseshell pattern).

Lens color: The lens type and color, such as Clear, Polarized, or Transitions, followed by the specific lens color.

Frame color is pretty straightforward. Just pick the color you like.

Lenses are a different story. There are more options to choose from, and the price changes depending on which lenses you pick. For example, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer costs $449 with clear or sunglass lenses, but choosing Transitions lenses brings the price up to $529.

Here’s a breakdown of the different lens types and what they do:

Lens TypeMain FeaturesBest For
ClearTransparent lenses that let in natural lightIndoor and everyday use
SunglassesFixed-tint lenses that reduce bright lightOutdoors and sunny days
PolarizedReduces reflected glare from water, roads, and other surfacesDriving, outdoor activities, and near water

Glasses with standard lenses typically arrive within 2–3 days after shipping, while custom prescription glasses usually take about 1–2 weeks to arrive.

Additional Features on the US Meta Store

New AI glasses models usually launch in the US first, so the US Meta Store is often the first place where you can try those new models on virtually. The US website also offers two additional options:

  • Customizing frames and lenses
  • Ordering prescription glasses

Here’s how to use both features.

Customizing Frames and Lenses

Besides the preset combinations put together by designers, you can click Customize to mix and match frames and lenses yourself and create a pair of glasses that fits your style.

Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 3 preset frame and lens combinations on the Meta US website, highlighting the Customize button for creating a personalized pair of AI glasses.

With this feature, you can mix and match frame colors and lenses however you like. Under Lens color, the “P” symbol indicates polarized lenses, while “◑” indicates Transitions lenses.

But customization costs extra! For example, a standard Wayfarer starts at $449, but choosing Customize raises the base price to $469. Changing the frame color usually doesn’t cost extra, and clear lenses and regular sunglass lenses cost the same. Polarized lenses add $30, while Transitions lenses add $80.

Once you’ve finished customizing your glasses, you can use the virtual try-on feature to see how they look on your face. I’d recommend trying a few different colors, especially for the lenses. After all, Meta AI glasses aren’t just something you wear when you go out. You’ll probably use them at home or at work too, so picking a look you really like matters.

Ordering Prescription Lenses

If you’re nearsighted or have astigmatism like me, you’ll also want to consider prescription lenses. However, only the US and Canadian Meta Stores currently let you order custom prescription lenses directly online.

If you’re in the UK, Australia, or Singapore, you can check the lens options on the US Meta Store first to find a style you like. Once your glasses arrive, you can take them to a professional optical shop to have prescription lenses fitted. For example, Lensology and RockOptika in the UK, Optom on Collins in Australia, and Raylite Optical in Singapore all offer prescription lens services for Meta AI glasses.

So how do you see which prescription lenses Meta offers? On the product page, find Shop prescription and click Add to start choosing your prescription lenses.

Meta US store checkout options for Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 3, highlighting the Shop prescription button to add custom prescription lenses before purchasing.

Step 1: Choose Your Prescription Type

There are two types of prescription lenses to choose from:

  • Single vision: Regular prescription lenses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism.
  • Progressive: Progressive lenses, the kind you might have seen in eyeglass commercials. They help you see clearly at different distances, making them a good choice if you have presbyopia and need help seeing both near and far.

Prescription lenses cost extra! Single vision lenses start at $100, while progressive lenses start at $235.

If you’re only nearsighted or have astigmatism, single vision lenses are usually enough. But if you have presbyopia and need to see clearly at different distances, whether you’re looking far away, working on a computer, or checking your phone, progressive lenses are worth considering.

Meta prescription lens selection screen offering Single Vision lenses for one viewing distance and Progressive lenses for correcting vision at multiple distances.

Next, enter your prescription details:

  • OD: Right eye
  • OS: Left eye
  • SPH: Sphere, which indicates the amount of nearsightedness or farsightedness. A minus value means nearsightedness, while a plus value means farsightedness. For example, if your prescription says -1.00, enter -1.00.
  • CYL: Cylinder, which indicates the amount of astigmatism. For example, if your prescription says -0.50, enter -0.50.
  • Axis: The direction of the astigmatism correction, measured from 1° to 180°.
  • ADD: Additional lens power used for reading or progressive lenses. For example, if your prescription says ADD +1.00, enter +1.00.
  • PD: Pupillary distance, or the distance between your pupils, measured in millimeters. Your prescription may list one PD value, such as 63 mm, or separate values for each eye, such as 32 mm for the right eye and 31 mm for the left. Meta lets you enter either format, so just follow what’s listed on your prescription.
Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 3 prescription lens ordering screen

After entering your prescription, Meta also lets you choose the lens type, material, treatment, and brand. Each option has different features, and some upgrades cost extra.

Let’s use progressive lenses for the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer as an example.

Step 2: Choose your lens type

  • Clear: Basic clear lenses with UV protection, suitable for everyday wear and indoor use.
  • Blue-violet light filter (+US$40): These are the blue-light filtering lenses you may have heard of. They filter some of the blue-violet light from screens and sunlight, making them a good option if you spend a lot of time using a computer or phone.
  • Sun: Tinted lenses that reduce the brightness of sunlight, making them a good choice for people who spend a lot of time outdoors.
  • Transitions (+US$100): These lenses stay clear indoors and gradually darken when exposed to outdoor light. They’re a good choice if you frequently move between indoors and outdoors.

These upgrade prices are based on the standard Clear prescription lenses. In this example, Clear progressive lenses cost US$235, while upgrading to Transitions brings the price to US$335.

Step 3: Choose your lens material

  • Standard: Basic lightweight plastic lenses, included at no extra cost. Best for lighter prescriptions, with Meta recommending them for prescriptions between -2.00 and +2.00 diopters.
  • Thin (+US$40): Slimmer, impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses, suitable for prescriptions between -4.00 and -2.00 or between +2.00 and +4.00 diopters.
  • Extra-thin (+US$120): High-index lenses that reduce thickness and weight, making them a good choice for stronger prescriptions above +4.00 or below -4.00 diopters.

Step 4: Upgrade your lens treatment

  • Anti-reflective treatment: Included at no extra cost. Reduces reflections on the lenses for clearer vision.
  • Premium anti-reflective treatment (+US$30): Reduces reflections and adds water-repellent, fingerprint-resistant, and oil-resistant coatings, making the lenses easier to clean.
Meta prescription lens treatment options comparing included anti-reflective coating with a premium anti-reflective treatment that also repels water, smudges, and fingerprints.

Step 5: Choose your lens brand

  • Ray-Ban Authentic (+US$40): Genuine Ray-Ban lenses with the Ray-Ban logo etched onto them.
  • Standard: Regular prescription lenses for everyday use, included at no extra cost.

Once you’ve made all your selections, the Meta Store will calculate the total price for your glasses and prescription lenses. If everything looks good, you can proceed to checkout.

Also, Oakley Meta Vanguard doesn’t support prescription lenses. For other models, check the product page to see whether prescription lenses are available.
