How to Use QuestDB

The Meta Horizon Store has tons of games and apps, but honestly, it’s not easy to search through, and you can’t see price history at all. It doesn’t feel smooth or convenient like Steam.

That’s where a site called Quest Store DB comes in. It’s one of the largest databases for Quest VR games and apps, and it updates game data and sale information every day. If you check this site, you can see exactly what’s happening in the Quest ecosystem right now.

Here’s what you can check on it:

Store changes
You can instantly see when new titles are added to the store or when games are delisted.

Release countdowns
It shows how many days are left until upcoming titles are released.

Sale info
You’ll find official store discounts as well as creator discount codes.

Price changes
You can also check the history of price increases and price drops.

Keeping track of this stuff means you won’t end up thinking, “That game was cheap back then…” after the fact.

When you open the site, the screen is divided into several sections, which makes everything easier to follow.

On the Meta Store, prices change pretty often.

On the left, the “DATABASE UPDATES” section shows a list of games and apps that have recently had price changes, were newly added, or have been delisted from the Meta Store.
On the right, the “POPULAR PAID RELEASE” section lists today’s popular paid games and apps, and you can also see how their store ratings are trending.

Even with a quick glance, you can immediately tell what’s going on in the store right now. The layout makes it really easy to stay up to date.

The data on the left side is further divided into several categories:

  • 🏷️ Coupon Code: Titles where a creator discount code has been released.
  • 📢 Released Today: New games added to the store today.
  • Free: Games you can play for free.
  • $X.XX ➡️ Free: Titles that are free for a limited time, or have been set to permanently free by the developer.
  • ⬆️⬇️: Games with price increases or price drops.
  • ♾️ New release date: Titles with newly scheduled release dates.

For example, in the screen below, Sharpeye Shootout has dropped from its usual $14.99 price to free for a limited time, and you can grab it directly from the Meta Store. This section updates dozens of entries per day, and on busy days, you’ll see over 100 updates scroll through.

When you see a game marked as free, you can jump straight to the Meta Store and claim it right away.

Some titles quietly offer limited-time creator promo codes. This kind of information is almost impossible to find inside the Meta Store itself.

Take Moon VR Player as an example. With a creator code, you can buy it at 40 percent off. Once you spot that info on Quest DB, all you need to do is enter the code during checkout on the Meta Store and the discount is applied.

As for how to enter creator discount codes, there’s another article on this site that explains the steps in detail, so make sure to check that one as well.

On-Sale Section

In the On Sale section, you’ll see a full list of games and apps that are currently discounted in the store. At a glance, you can check how much time is left before the sale ends, the discount percentage, and the type of discount—whether it’s an official store sale or a creator promo code.

It also clearly marks titles that are at their all-time low price or on sale for the first time, which makes it much easier to decide, “Yeah, this is worth buying right now.”

For games that are on sale, you’ll see three key pieces of information displayed like this:

  • Top right: The game’s store rating score.
  • Bottom left: A countdown showing how much time is left before the sale ends.
  • Bottom right: The original price, the discounted price, and the discount percentage.

Games with Author Promo Coupon

If a title shows “Expire Eventually,” that means a author discount coupon is available for that game. In the bottom right, you’ll see the original price, the discounted price, and the discount percentage. When you click Expire Eventually, you can copy the discount code directly.

Moon VR Video Player shown in the Meta Quest Store with author coupon applied, 40 percent discount to $5.99, store rating 4.5, and discount expiration note visible.

For example, the popular app Moon VR Player normally costs $9.99 in the store, but with a creator promo code, the price drops to $5.99. That’s a pretty solid discount.

Creator promo codes are usually time-limited or quantity-limited, so it’s a good idea to check this site regularly.

Upcoming Releases and Games Launching Within 7 Days

This section lists upcoming titles as well as games scheduled to release within the next seven days. Some developers launch new games with a relatively large discount, then raise the price later once the game gains traction, so this is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Upcoming Release: These are games that haven’t launched yet, with the planned release date shown underneath each title.

You’ve probably noticed by now that QuestDB contains a massive amount of information, and honestly, it can be a bit hard to read if you just browse it as-is. Most people who come here are really looking for one thing: good deals.

I’m the same way. After checking it every day, I take the limited-time free games and titles with author promo coupon that I find and curate only the ones I actually recommend on this site. It’s much easier to read and much easier to search through, so feel free to check it out if that sounds useful to you.

FAQ – Common Questions

Can’t you find discount info directly in the Quest Store?

That’s right. The Meta Store has a clean and easy-to-use UI, but it doesn’t show price history or organize discounts by category. You won’t see things like “limited-time free” or “promo code discounts” listed anywhere in the store itself.

What are Author promo codes, and how do you use them?

Author promo coupon are hidden discount codes provided by developers. They don’t appear on the store page at all. The discount only applies if you manually enter the code during checkout. For the exact steps, check the guide linked here: Meta Quest Hidden Discounts.

Where can I find limited-time free or $0 games?

On QuestDB, look at the “$X.XX ➡️ Free” category in the left-hand menu. This shows games that were recently discounted to free. Some are short-term events, others become permanently free, so if something catches your eye, it’s best to grab it sooner rather than later.

What does “Expire Eventually” mean? Does it actually expire?

This label means a Author-provided discount coupon is available. These coupon may have time limits or quantity limits. Since the system doesn’t know the exact end date, it’s best to use the code while the price is good.

Isn’t this site a bit too complicated? Is there an easier way?

You can just check the curated sale list on our site. Every day, we pick only the deals that are genuinely worth it, with no complicated filtering. That way, you save both time and money and can grab the good stuff right away.
