In 2026, The Handy 2 was released as a wireless model with a built-in battery, and it’s noticeably quieter during operation.
The stroking mechanism has also been improved, with an additional 15mm of range. On top of that, the Handy 2 Pro includes an overclock mode that lets you push the movement speed even higher.
Based on community testing, there are reports that the Handy 2 Standard still had 90% battery left after an hour of use, so battery life is pretty solid.
Right now, there are three main models, roughly divided like this.

How to Buy and Discount Codes
You can buy The Handy on Amazon US, where it usually sells for around $169.
On the official site, the price during sales is usually around $169, and depending on your region, you might also have to pay for shipping. At first glance, it doesn’t really look cheaper than buying from Amazon.
But on the official site, discount codes work properly, and the discounts can be pretty significant. When you look at the total price, it often ends up cheaper than buying from Amazon.
Discount codes and discount links
During major sale periods like Black Friday, the official store sometimes offers much stronger discount codes. For example, during CES in January 2025, the original Handy dropped all the way to half price.
Right now, you can still get it for around this kind of discounted price.
I’ve tested it myself, and there are two discount codes that actually work.
SLR30 is the most reliable one. It gives you about 30% off the original Handy and most accessories.
💡Note: In July 2026, another limited-time discount code is also available. It gives you 55% off, so you can buy it for even less than with the regular discount code.
But if you add accessories to the same order, those won’t be discounted.
If your accessories total is under $120, it’s better to use the limited-time discount code.
If it’s over $120, switching to SLR30 will usually give you a lower total.
With that discount applied, the price drops to $76.05. Even after adding shipping, it still ends up much cheaper than buying from Amazon.
Shipping costs vary depending on the country or region. For example:

The Handy 2 Standard and Handy 2 Pro are still newer models, so most discount codes do not seem to work on them yet.

Fake discount code sites
One thing to be careful about here.
Some sites use “fake discount codes” as bait to lure people in.
You’ll see phrases like,
“Click here to get a The Handy coupon!”
or “Here’s the discount code!”
But when you actually click, all it does is send you to the regular The Handy homepage. You don’t get any real code, and nothing gets discounted.
This kind of fake promo text is pretty common. A typical example looks like this:
The thing is, whether you click those links or not, the final price you pay is exactly the same as buying directly from the official site.
But once you click one of those links, the system tracks it. Even if you come back and buy directly from The Handy two weeks later, that person still gets credited.
You’re not losing money as a user, but in practice, it’s like you’re sending likes and tips to those “fake coupon” sites. You’re basically telling them, “Sure, keep making more of these pages to bait people.”
To break it down, here’s what happens when you use a $169 Handy as the base price:

Even if you clicked a fake coupon site link before, you can still switch the support over. As long as you click the link from the creator you want to support again before buying The Handy, the referral will be reassigned to that person.

Unboxing and Accessory Check
The first model I bought was The Handy 1, and I used it for a while in actual use.
Recently, I also bought The Handy 2 Pro, so in this article I’ll unbox both generations and go through what comes in the box, the included accessories, and the differences between them.
The Handy
This is the first-generation The Handy. When it arrived, it had an extra cardboard box over the outside, so even if someone opened the outer package first, it would be hard to tell at a glance that it was an interactive toy.
When you open the outer box, you’ll see the Handy unit and the manual inside.
Even at this stage, it’s not immediately obvious that it’s an interactive device. The overall packaging is pretty low-key.
If no one explains it, someone might just think it’s something like a Wii controller.
When you take everything out, this is roughly what you’ll find inside the box:
- The Handy unit
- Official sleeve
- Power adapter
- Manual
One thing to note is that the included power plug varies depending on your region.
For example, in Europe you’ll get a plug like the one shown here. In the US, UK, or Australia, you’ll receive a different plug type.
These kinds of plug adapters are pretty cheap. For example, if you want to convert a European plug to a US or Canada Type-A plug, you can just pick one up for about $5 at Walmart or Best Buy.
The included sleeve is made of transparent silicone, and it feels very soft when you hold it.
There’s a piece of foam inside, and it’s better to keep it instead of throwing it away. You can use it during storage to help the sleeve keep its shape.
The Handy 2 Pro
The Handy 2 Pro often arrives with another cardboard box placed over the outside.
Unless you open that outer box, you basically cannot tell what is inside. From the outside, it looks pretty discreet.
However, once you open the cardboard box, the package design makes it clear right away that this is not an ordinary household item.
So if you buy The Handy 2 Pro, it is better to store the outer package somewhere other people will not see it, or dispose of it early.
The outer box for The Handy 2 Pro feels sturdier than the first-generation model, and the overall quality has improved quite a lot.
Since this is a $379 model, the packaging also feels more premium.
When you open the outer box, the inside feels more like a gift box.
Each accessory is individually packaged, and the overall presentation feels pretty carefully done.

Looking at the overall design and materials, you can tell that The Handy 2 Pro feels like a major quality upgrade over the original Handy.
This time, I also bought The Desk Mount Kit – Handsfree as an additional mounting accessory.
This is a mount that lets you fix Handy 2 or Handy 1 to a desk, so you do not need to hold the device by hand while using it.
Because it is more stable than handheld use, the overall experience also feels closer to real use.
After installation, it looks like this.
The mounting section feels very solid, and the device can be firmly fixed to the mount. There is almost no wobbling during use, so you can properly use it hands-free.

No.
